The World of Kodainoneko - Environment

“The World of Kodainoneko” is an original 2D cartoon-style concept art project that explores a universe in conflict. Once a land where the Neko, spirits, and Kodihamas lived in harmony, Kodainoneko fell into decay with the arrival of the Inu: a race that corrupted the balance of nature by forging spirits into weapons.
At the center of this story is Shogu, a Black Neko abandoned at birth and later guided by the spirit of a hollow tree. Fragile but resilient, he becomes the unlikely bearer of hope to restore balance to his world.
This portfolio showcases original character, creature, and environment designs, illustrating the clash between creation and corruption, tradition and invasion, resilience and decay. From the haunting Necro Pug Kogami to the monstrous three-headed Inuberus, each design reveals a piece of the mythos of Kodainoneko.
Through this project, our team combines storytelling and visual artistry to create a vivid universe where every detail reflects the tension between harmony and destruction.
